I saw 4 ospreys, two female and two males, while fishing at clavering fisheries (clavering farm, mill lane, clavering, essex cb11 4rl). the birds flew fairly low initially about tree top height, but one of the males then flew higher& circled above the lake. he then plunged into the water& was holding onto a fish for sometime before unsuccessfully flying away. we witnessed the birds twice for 20 minutes each time over a 3 hr period
