The White-tailed Sea Eagle Reintroduction Programme is managed by the Golden Eagle Trust Limited in partnership with the National Parks and Wildlife Service of the Dept. of Environment, Heritage and Local Government in Ireland and in collaboration with Prosjekt Havørn, the Norwegian Institute for Nature Research and the Directorate for Nature Management in Norway. The programme seeks to reestablish a viable self-sustaining breeding population of sea eagles in south-west Ireland after an absence of 110 years. The main financial sponsors are
